The Product
From the trends outlined on the previous pages, an outline of the Crossings product emerged. Although the outline was hazy at first, the trends, coupled with customer feedback, pointed toward concrete product attributes - a list of functional characteristics the furniture needed to embody. The Crossings furniture solution addresses a variety of functional needs.

Layered Performance
Crossings allows you to buy only what you need. New components can be added or taken away as work styles evolve. Nearly every Crossing product can accommodate multiple levels of performance. This modifiable, open-ended feature protects your initial investment. Simple upgrades to your initial furniture purchase allow Crossings to meet your ever-changing needs.

Multi-Tasking
Crossing components serve multiple purposes. Work areas adapt to changing tasks so users can perform a variety of functions. The office takes on the very nature of the work being performed. Components serve multiple purposes for maximum utilization, enhancing the return on your Crossings investment.

User Control
All Crossings components are designed to give the individual working in the space control of his or her surroundings. Components are mobile and designed for intuitive reconfiguration. Space can be modified to fit the tasks by the week, day or hour. Work areas become a form of self-expression as workers personalize their environment for maximum confort and productivity.

Functional Independence
Crossings components are functionally independent. This means that they are structurally self-supportive, functioning independently of one another for improved space utilization and multi-tasking ability. No longer are office designs bound by component interdependency or locked into specific dimensions. You can move the furniture in one area without affecting the furniture in an adjacent work area.
